Two people were injured when a train crashed through the buffers at a station in north London this morning.
The eight-carriage London Overground train derailed at about 8.15am at Enfield Town. Images on social media showed it just short of the station building. About 50 people were taken off.
The London Ambulance Service said two people were treated for minor injuries but were not taken to hospital.
Gary Spencer, 37, was working near by and walked over to the station after seeing dozens of emergency services vehicles. “There was initially some shock but more importantly I was hoping that there were no casualties,” he said.
