A man was struck and killed by an MBTA commuter rail train in West Acton on Thursday afternoon.
According to Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan, Transit Police detectives are actively investigating the incident.
“The preliminary investigation suggests at approximately 12 p.m. an adult male, age unknown at this time, intentionally entered the right of way in the vicinity of 350 Central Street and was struck by an MBTA commuter rail train. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. Foul play is not suspected,” said Sullivan in an email to the Beacon.
